Jason was born and raised in Hay River, Northwest Territories. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree (Great Distinction) at the University of Saskatchewan in 2000 and his law degree at the University of Victoria in 2003. Jason and his wife Julie moved to Grande Prairie in October 2003 and Jason was admitted to the Alberta Bar in February 2005. His areas of practice include Corporate Business Law, Real Estate, Wills & Estates and General Civil Litigation.
Jason is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association. He is a sessional instructor at the Grande Prairie Regional College, teaching an introductory course on business law, and regularly speaks at public legal education seminars. Jason is involved in several community organizations and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital Foundation. In his free time, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife Julie and his three children, traveling, recreational carpentry, camping, water skiing and playing most sports.
